lement101, thanks for your response it was very enlightening. I have to say though, that if I have to do ALL that just to make picasa work across the network, then Picas and ubuntu are not ready for prime-time.
Everyone has been telling me that ubuntu is ready for the average user (I am a computer reseller), No way is the average home user ready for this experience!! You would think by now, of all the software that has been developed for this OS, somebody would have developed a GUI program that would just map a drive with out all the Hocus Pocus commands...
