Make a link to the desired windows drive folder into a linux drive
folder. Then try repeating 'add folder'...It worked for me. Hopefully
it would work for you too!

I am novice to linux too...I just installed it for the first time,
yesterday. So, just in case if you wonder whats making a link
means...it is nothing but making a shortcut. To make a link, click on
a desired folder and select make a link. You can then cut paste the
shortcut created into any other folder you want.
