My keyboard looks much like that shown in the first image forwarded by Lars-Andreas, save that the «' *» key has been moved down to the next row with the «Enter» key occupying its place and thus extending over two rows. (Interestingly enough, the layout displayed on my computer using «System» → «Settings» → «Keyboard» is precisely the same as that in Lars-Andreas' image, which just goes to show that even a computer's right hand doesn't know what its left is doing). My system language is Swedish, and unlike Lars-Andreas, I have no difficulty in entering glyphs peculiar to Scandinavian alphabets («å»,«ä», «æ», «ö», «ø») in Picasa ; indeed, I can even use SCIM to enter, e g, CJK glyphs as photograph captions or as album titles. (This distinction, I suspect, is due to differences in our respective versions of Picasa.) But it is interesting to note that even though Lars-Andreas is using US English as his system language, he still cannot get the keyboard shortcuts to work, so it would seem that differences in system language do not suffice to explain the problems reported by users on this and previous threads....
