Don't know about the iPhone, but regarding the login problem, the
solution may be found on the Google support forum at
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Picasa/thread?tid=6eb9c7d06d5aa10c&hl=en
It worked for me. Picasa for linux relies on wine, and apparently one
of the files in the version of wine embedded in Picasa doesn't like
something in Fedora 11. If you have wine separately installed, you use
a newer version of one of the wine files to replace the one used in
Picasa, thus:
1. Close Picasa
2. Back up your copy of wineinet.dll.so from /opt/google/picasa/3.0/
wine/lib/wine/, just in case.
3. Open a terminal and type: sudo cp '/usr/lib/wine/wininet.dll.so' '/
opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/lib/wine/wininet.dll.so' [and then hit
enter].
