Iirc, that feature was not available in the "made for linux under wine" version 3.0, and perhaps not any version running on wine. I have the 3.6 windoz version installed in openSUSE 11.2 x86_64 and the option to configure the "photo viewer" is not available. btw, the 3.6 version is much improved over the so-called linux 3.0 version, you should try it.
