I just installed Picasa 2.7 into Ubuntu 10.04, via Synaptic Package Manager, using the procedure I found here: http://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/ubuntu704.html
The installation seemed to go OK & I found Picasa icons in the Applications>Graphics menu, but when I click on them, nothing at all happens. Inputting "picasa" in a normal terminal, I get the same response as Stuart Sale. If I use a Root terminal, then Picasa launches OK. After that, I find a Picasa icon on the panel (right hand side) which will launch Picasa from my desk as often as I like - untill the next reboot, when it disappears. I am stuck at that point! Thanks for any suggestions On Apr 13, 4:12 pm, Stuart Sale <[email protected]> wrote: > I have a very similar issue, Picasa installed from the google repo > onto a clean install of Ubuntu Karmic.
