Do you mean the "Google Linux" version of Picasa? If I remember, the "Google Linux" version of Picasa is an English-language only version. You might un-install the "Google Linux" version of Picasa and download the "Picasa for Windows" (currently 3.6) version and install it. Be sure you have WINE installed for your GNU/Linux distro. (I am using the latest version of WINE: 1.2).
