as it seems so obvious, but what happens if you log into one
of your Gmail accounts on your browser, and then attempt to upload
pictures from your computer to the web album connected with that
particular account ? I imagine that the trick would be to log out from
any other Gmail account before attempting to upload to a specific web
album, but this is pure speculation on my part, as I only have one
Gmail and one web-album account, and so haven't felt the need for such
manoeuvres....

I think I tried that before, but I tried it again. No joy. Picasa asks me what album I want to upload to, and they're all in the first account. 'New' doesn't seem to offer anything useful.

At least logging into the second account and sucking in the new stuff is possible...

I've cut my photos down to 100-200K files, but I'm nearly full in my original account...
