I'm having a weird problem with a Flex app that I've developed that
uses the Google maps functionality.

When I run it from our intranet site, I have no problems. When a
specific user runs the same app on their computer, they get the
dreaded API key error :

"Initialization failed: please check the API key,
swf location, version and network availability."

Obviously the key is fine, because I can run the app. When I run the
app on the user's computer, it's also fine. This leads me to believe
that it's some sort of authority/firewall issue related to the user's
access (developer's at our company generally have more access compared
with end-users).

The weird thing is the user can access maps.google.com with IE. So my
only other guess is that the API key verification process hits another
URL that the user doesn't have access to. Is this possibly the case?
(before I have my network guy dig into the firewall logs).

Any other ideas as to what may be causing this problem? I've searched
for API key problems, and I only find questions/answers related to it
not working at all, compared with my situation where it works for
some, but not others).
