Hi there I am interested in anyone from the Google earth team, or anyone generally experienced in Google Api able to develop a very exciting and interactive ap for a non profit.
We are setting up a foundation to drive sustainability innovation and roll out, and the public facing and fundraising element will be an interactive web site that gives people that gives people the ability to intelligently donate via a competition format. With the advent of the google earth / maps api, looks like we will be able to do what we need with this rather than developing bespoke - however we are looking for advise, consultancy or for people to be part of the team. This would possibly be a project for a Google staffer as part of their 20 percent time, or Google earth outreach. People happy to help a non profit are welcome, however we are looking to do this properly and are willing to pay if necessary. Essentially - what we want to do, is lay an interactive transactional grid over the earth, and enable people to chose blocks, that when selected and purchased change colour. There is a lot more to it than this - but this is the basic functionality for google earth.
