Hi,
I am looking for advices on which version of the Flash Player I should
use during the development and test phases. Adobe always recommends to
update to the most recent version (version 10). However, there are
some particular problems:

I installed Flash CS3, Flex Builder 3, and update to Flash Player 10
when testing some applications or viewing other people's projects. Now
I lost track which version of the player has been installed on my
computer, and keep getting error messages, Flex prompts me I have an
outdated "NFSWF32.dll", IE shows "Error #2044", some clips load
perfectly in Flash Test Movie (which I think is Player 9 - debug) but
not in the published file (appears to be Player 10 - non debug).

I tried to uninstall all previous versions of plug-in by following the
instructions at:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=1

then download the Adobe Flash Player 10 — Debugger Versions at:
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

However, I still get similar problems. I read some posts saying that
people encounter "Error #2044" when they update to version 10.

Is there a solution that works for all? I am concerned that my swf
files wont be able to play in different browsers with different
versions of Flash Player, even it plays perfectly on my computer.
Should I go back to version 9 for all applications? (including Flash
CS3, Flex Builder, and plug-ins for IE and Firefox)? How can I do
that?

If I am going to update to Player 10, at
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
should I go with "Adobe Flash Player 10 Update for Flash CS4
Professional" or "Adobe Flash Player 10 — Debugger Versions"? One
thing confuses me is that the latter is much smaller, and does not
appear to have the plug-in for Firefox.

Many thanks for any input!
