So here we go again:

When I revised my code I saw I added the eventlistener to the marker
instead of the map like I said.
This should work:

var newMarker:Marker =  new Markers();
newMarker.addEventListener(MapMouseEvent.CLICK, onClick);

private function onClick(e:MapMouseEvent):void
{

if (e.currentTarget is LondonRemMarker) {
                openInfoWindow(e.currentTarget);
}
}
