The generated key is just a hash of the domain name plus the GMail address of whoever generated the key. By de-encrypting that key, we can figure out both the domain name and GMail address. We generally only use the domain name information, so that we can do the referrer check, but occasionally we may use the GMail address if we need to contact a developer.
