Take a look at http://www.isoma.net/games/goggles.html and
http://www.tomscott.com/realworldracer/ , (a less sophisticated
version with maps that load in one big jump and not scroll, and there
is no use of the zoom.)

I'm not 100% sure but i think the former loads maps into a flash game
and the latter maybe uses JavaScript.

We should be able to control a person flying (kind of like superman)
over google maps. In the case of "goggles" above it was a plane. It
would preload to a set position.

The flying person would stay in the center and the map would pass
underneath as if the person is flying over it. I think the maps would
probably have to preload as in "goggles" for it to be smooth. An mp3
of music will also preload and play on a loop.

The person would automatically and always keep flying forwards and
would be controlled by the arrow keys:

^ would be dive down (map zoom in) and still keep flying forwards
> would slowly tern right in a circle
< would slowly tern left in a circle
v would climb (map zoom out) and still flying forwards

If you think you are capable, I'd love to hear from you, Thanks
