Hi Tanmaya-

The default behavior of the infowindow is to pan the map so that it is
in view. There is no option to disable that behavior, but you could
make a custom infowindow or custom overlay that behaves differently.

See the "smart" infowindow demo, where the infowindow opens so that
the map doesn't pan:
