I haven't seen this before but I might take a guess that it could be
the jpg, is the duplicate able to be interacted with ? If you remove
the jpeg code function then does it happen. I think its most worrying
that it is not a consistent bug.
I think we need you to go down an isolating phase of debug, remove
code until it works and isolate the problem area.
