I have a requirement for a project where the overlays are added to
point out an area of the globe where the user should be looking (think
of it as a sort of treasure hunt).

I want to add multiple overlays at various times to narrow down this
search, but at the moment the more overlays I add the more dense the
colour and the user can't see that section of the map at all.

The easiest way I can see of remedying this is to add certain blend-
modes to the overlay itself but it doesnt seem possible to do this.

I also looked at entire globe overlays with holes to show the area but
these seem very flaky and they redraw only the hole section when I
zoom in even 1 level. It is possible that I am doing this incorrectly!

Has anyone tried similar things and have any workarounds?

Thanks

Martyn
