I think I am not capable of describing my goal I want to achieve. Like I said in our correspondance, I am capable of tweening things around, I know all the techniques I need for this. What I don't know is how to apply this tweening on tiles that have just been loaded (inside the maps component!) so that they appear smoothly. Look, go to maps.google.com (of course it's not Flash, but looks the same) and search for a city far away from the coordinates currently shown. You will notice that - dependend on your internet connection - the single tiles that show your desired location will appear without animation, just one after the other.
