First off, why does this matter, out of curiosity, doesn't sound like
a regular use case (so I'm using this app and I disconnect the
internet and reconnect and I have to reload the app... big deal?).
I'm no expert on the details of the connection established with Google
but you can probably use wireshark or firebug or Charles or some other
network traffic monitor and see if any errors come up when running
your scenario.  Hopefully you can get enough info from one of those
tools to help you out, and remember don't be evil.  Also how
disconnected are you talking, like new lan ip or different network or
wan ip?
