I am in the middle of building a Google map in flash that displays the location of 3 specific businesses within an area defined by a user. I found the Tutorial that uses the Ajax API for local search, and have been able to get that to work pretty well. However, while looking for more info on the Ajax search API (to better understand the parameters), I noticed that it was declared deprecated as of November 1st 2010: http://code.google.com/apis/websearch/docs/
So I'm curious as to how this will effect the local search options for a Flash based Google map? Will the service still work for a while? Or is there a new service/API that should be used? I tried reading through the new APIs that are replacing the Local Search, but none of the documentation was specific to how it would be used in flash. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to get too far into this project using the Google Maps API just to find out that it won't work.
