Hi Everyone, Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but it would not let me join the Google Earth or KML forums for some reason.
Anyway, I am creating an application that will parse out the geotag information from photographs taken on smartphones and then locate whereabouts the photos have been taken from on a map, either Google Maps or Google Earth. Im thinking of doing it by putting the geotags (long and lat) into a KML file and then using this KML file to produce a Google Maps/Earth output with pinpoints locating the whereabouts of a photo with a thumbnail and other EXIF data shown such as time and date. Do any of you have any ideas on which is the best approach? Google Earth or Google Maps? Is this feasible? What do you think is the best way to get the geotag information out of the photographs EXIF data?
