You have to enable it, in the map ready handler call myMap.enableScrollWheelZoom() http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/flash/reference.html#Map.enableScrollWheelZoom also you may have issues with different browsers regarding how the scroll wheel event is propagated to the flash plugin (and what actual values are sent may require normalizing).
