Hi Ron, Check under the Geocoding section in the documentation here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/flash/services.html Is that what you need to do, that is just send a request and use the values from the placemarks collection to get the country information? I looked at this a bit in the past, honestly can't remember exactly why but I believe the kinds of data that comes back and what's populated wasn't completely clear but I'm pretty sure you can inspect the object in the debugging object inspector and find the parts your interested in.
