1. Database of co-ordinates.(Buy or build yourself by doing research) 2. Get current GPS position.(Easy) 3. Use pythagoras theorum. This means any formulas that use pythagoras and includes cartesian, haversines blah blah. No maths then you need to go to school.(Must know) 4. You can also use linear graph theory to assess a point in polygons. 5. Then you use your maths to triangulate.
I am using this method and tested it travelling through town and seeing the sensors update to the correct sensors. Please don't say you want the code as you are a coder. Maths is the key. Look up school or uni books or search google for maths formulas and not prewritten code. I have been programming for over 15years and being able to code doesn't mean that you can code correctly.
