Hi everybody, I am experiencing some issues with my custom map types when come the time to switch between map types using the MapTypeControl.
I have a custom map type where some of the tiles that come from the tiling server are transparent. This means that if I select another map type using the MapTypeControl, and then if I switch back to this custom map type that has these transparent tiles, then I see what was previously displayed with the normal map type. What I want, is to see the background color of the Map control (which I defined using the backgroundFillStyle option). So, what I want is to be able to "clear the map" (so, to hide/remove the tiles previously selected map types). I can't find any API calls to do that. I want to call such an API function on a MAPTYPE_CHANGED event. I also noticed that such a "clear" was performed by the API after I zoomed twice in any zooming direction. I think I am clearly missing something in the API. Thanks for your help!
