Hi Julien, No the Google maps flash API is not an open source project, the source is closed and cannot be inspected based on the TOS. You'll want to use the reference page to get information about the classes in the API anything beyond that (like linking code) you're out of luck, however if you post any issues you come up with here I've generally had pretty good success with helping out on this forum so I check back regularly, and if I or others who monitor this forum aren't able to help you can use the bug system and look for others who are facing the same issue or submit your own bug for the flash player team to address.
All ideas under the sun aren't necessarily possible but they've done a decent job of making the 90% of common use cases easy to solve, also keep in mind this is a huge corporation unless you're paying big bucks you're not likely going to get a lot of attention, furthermore there will be features extended to the javascript API and the android API for the maps earlier than they make it into the Flash API (this upcoming part is my own personal belief) because of their vested interest in having Android take off (same reason you likely won't be getting support from Apple for Flash etc.) and to maintain a leg up on the javascript side (not to mention it's probably a bit easier to build it in javascript first knock out some of the bugs then port it to actionscript, again not sure this is actually how it's done but my best guess from an outsiders perspective). Go here to get started: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/flash/intro.html Go here if you need something more complicated: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/flash/reference.html Come back to the forum if it looks like something in there should work and it isn't doing it for ya. Then if that doesn't work out check out the bug database below, see if it's a known issue and if not let them know. http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/ Shaun -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API For Flash" group.
