Well, the company I work for built a flash app that incorporates street
view images.

But recently the app stopped working as it can no longer load any images
from maps.googleapis.com.
I built a php image proxy which works just to test whether it was a cross
domain issue, but this isn't a viable option to move forward with because
of some legal mumbo-jumbo with the client.

Here is how the flash app currently works:
Flash gets address from user from fields that the user enters. The flash
then calls javascript function that returns a url of a street view image.
This image is to be loaded into flash as a background with some other
interactivity. At this point the flash app fails to load the image. If I
were to use the image proxy with a loose cross-domain policy then the whole
thing works fine.

The original developer never used an api key. But the app did work up until
a month or so ago.
I think it has something to do with the cross domain policy.

Does anyone out there know of a solution I could use? Has anyone faced this
problem before? After searching hi and lo for an answer i haven't come
across this exact situation.

Thanks everyone!
