Hello all,

This is my first post into the group, since I haven't found the
answer in any of the FAQ pages or in previous discussions.
I am developing a google maps application where zoom is limited
to city level. This is for cities in Ecuador, Latin America.
Now, for proper city detection, I have to have lat/long data
for the cities (not for addresses into them), so when the user clicks
on the googleMaps location, then I properly recognize what location
have been clicked.
So I need a perfect match between my and Google's lat/long
data.
Where could I download that perfect match city lat/long data
for Ecuador?

I have found this ...http://www.geonames.org/export/, but how
can I be sure the data is in perfect agreement with Google's.

Hope I have explain the point well.

       Kind regards,
       Marcelo
