The Google Maps API can certainly do this using a number of the
methods supplied but I would caution you that using a map for purely
internal purposes is against the terms unless you've purchased a
Premiere or Enterprise license. If you're in the UK, then using the
Open Layers mapping system with Open Street Maps data is an excellent
alternative.
