okay, here it comes. i tried lance' modificated script on my server and it crashed ff again. then i used not only his script in my side but also his complete html file. and there was it: i called my api with ...v=2.78 (this results from an recycled project) and lance just did it v=2 so i changed to v=2 in my script and tada - it runs perfectly under ff 3. but how to explain that behaviour ?
