Information about the satellite imagery updates gets posted to the
latlong blog, e.g.

Javascript API imagery gets updated a few days layer. I don't know about
the Flash API imagery, you probably need to ask in the Flash API group.

I make a little announcement in this group whenever I spot changes in
the tile version numbers for streetmaps, satellite and physical maps.

Like this one:

I used to try to spot changes in the coverage, but Google have rigged
things so that looking at the old tiles gets me blocked very quickly, so
I can no longer do side-by-side comparisons.

Note that the release of the Israel maps to the API isn't a question of
time, it's probably a question of the availability of a universal
GISrael licence. If GISrael won't release their imagery to Google with a
licence that allows it to be redistributed via any website, then the API
will have to continue to source the imagery from somewhere else.

Does the GooglePages trick work in Flash?
