Like I said, I am a complete novice with this stuff. So hopefully the .txt version of the files will help. Because what the tutorial is telling me (http://code.google.com/apis/maps/articles/phpsqlajax.html) is that once I create the php file, load it in my browser and it will generate an xml file. Well when I do that, i do not see an xml file sitting on my server. But when loading http://www.symhome.net/php/phpsqlajax_genxml.php, I do not get an error, so I assume it is accessing the database, otherwise I would get some sort of error.
