Hi Pamela, The first option would be the best as it would allow for any type of info window, including those that extend beyond the map. I grab it and stuff it into my window and go (the only issue might be what width?) However I can see a use for your second suggestion (i.e. in the very small square maps people show for where's that?). At this size it might be more helpful to have a third option which passes out just the title (for tooltips), a link to the wikipedia or panoramio page, and a (non square) thumbnail url link (for Panoramio at least). With a base thumbnail link all the various sizes are available, however I know Panoramio has special terms about what must be displayed on a page with their photo and I was having problems designing it cleanly into 250x250 space.
The third option would allow me to design a small tooltip (with an optional thumbnail), that would let the user see what they would get when they click on the link and navigate to the full page (in _almost_ any size map). The non square thumbnail is important because it allows the Panoramio image to be seen in it's native aspect ratio which makes quite a difference on my panoramics. If you passed out a summary as well, it would be like a mini RSS feed for each item and might be a generalized solution for these (and future) layers. But the first option works fine and is probably the quickest/easiest.
