You get no error in v2.x if you perform
map.addOverlay(new GLayer("foo"));
but nothing happens because there is no "foo" service
You get no error in v2 if you perform
map.addOverlay(new GLayer("org.wikipedia.en"));
but nothing happens because you currently need v2.x (2.130) for layers
to work.
The location of your page doesn't matter.
The spelling and capitalisation of the service ID string does matter.
All the service ID strings are lower case.
