Hi All,

Any help with this would be appreciated.

I will provide two example links.

#1- http://www.marschellsmusic.com/API/Map_API__EXAMPLE_01.html

When you mouse over the polyline at this link, the polyline changes
color and then changes back again when you mouse out.

This is great, but do you notice how if you do it at normal speed the
cursor hand flickers to the “pointer hand” and then changes back to
the “regular hand” instead of persisting as the “pointer hand” as it
should?

I find this very annoying. It only works properly if you mouse up
really slowly to the polyline the “pointer hand” will persist until
you mouse more to the center of the line.

I kow that the cursor can persist as whatever you want, even when you
make changes to the line because I have seen it in other maps. The
problem is that I am a newb and those other maps are way to
complicated for me to find the code that causes the “pointer hand” to
persist as it should when you make polyline attribute changes.

You can see that the “pointer hand” has no problem persisting when
there are no changes to the line like in this example -
http://www.marschellsmusic.com/API/Map_API__EXAMPLE_02.html

The hand remains the pointer until you mouse out in example two. No
funky proximity type sensitivity.

Can someone please show me a very simple example of a polyline
attribute change on mouseover where the “pointer hand” will persist
until you mouse out.

Real simple example please, major newb here, no thousands of lines of
external javascript please.

Thank you very much in advance for whatever efforts are made here to
help a major newb out.
