Any help with this would be appreciated.

I will provide two example links:

When you mouse over the polyline at EXAMPLE_01 link, the polyline
changes
color and then changes back again when you mouse out.

But the cursor hand flickers to the “pointer hand” and then changes
back to the “regular hand” instead of persisting with the “pointer
hand” as it
should?

The “pointer hand” will only persist if you mouse up really slowly to
the polyline. When you move the mouse more to the center of the line
the cursor changes back to the "hand".

I want the cursor persist as the "pointer hand"

I kow that the cursor can persist as whatever you want, even when you
make changes to the line because I have seen it in other maps. The
problem is that I am a newb and those other maps are way to
complicated for me to find the code that causes the “pointer hand” to
persist as it should when the polyline attributes change.

You can see that the “pointer hand” has no problem persisting when
there are no changes to the line The hand remains the pointer until
you mouse out in example two. No funky proximity type sensitivity. -

Can someone please show me a very simple example of a polyline
attribute change on mouseover where the “pointer hand” will persist
until you mouse out.

Real simple example please, major newb here, no thousands of lines of
external javascript please.

Thank you very much in advance for whatever efforts are made to help a
major newb out.
