I'm so pleased with my map that I just have to make it available for
others to see. I've had a whole lot of help getting it to have all
the features it has now and although the icon markers open info
windows with kinda frivolous personal info, it's only for testing
various features. My actual main map will have all the special info
that I want in it. There are a lot of web sites with very clever
maps, and it's evident that a lot of work has gone into them, but
looking at so many (a lot), I've noticed that most have all the same
default icon markers and when they have a large amount of markers,
it's a bit hard to locate certain ones, and most have only one info
window so they are limited in the amount of information they can have
showing. Without using XML or CS or JS because I haven't taken the
time to learn how to use them, I've depended on using <div> tags and I
can understand them well enough to make a number of changes in the
info windows making them more usable. My map is kinda simple but it
has a lot of features that I see others asking about and maybe some of
what I have will help them.
www.tiltonrealty.com/Test-Gil-Markers-04.html and
www.tiltonrealty.com/Test-Gils-Map.html
,without the extra side information. As I learn more ways to do things
with the map, I'll keep it updated so it'll be changed as I go along.
If you see another kinda special feature that I can add to the map,
please let me know. I'm truly not good at coding so I get confused
easily. Maybe I should have waited until I added remarks to the
coding to indicate what code does what (which I plan on doing) but
because of the <div> tags it's kinda easy to see how to add some of
the features.
