I've seen mentions of this with respect to Virtual Earth, but I'm not
using that. I've run into a situation (see example page:
http://qindy.com/map/popup-list.php?id=103&table=rtb_list) where this
happens and I simply can't pointpoint a cause.

If anyone can shed some light on this, I'd really appreciate it. I
tried to set up a drag event on my map, with the intent of just
cancelling the drag if the even fires. But that I wasn't resolving
the problem.

The other posts I read didn't really explain the 'how' or 'why' of the
map behavior, so I'm at a loss as to extrapolating the Virtual Earth
issue to mine. I'm not really sure they are one and the same, or even
related.

I guess it would be helpful to deduce the point at which the mouse
release should occur and/or where it goes. Is this perhaps an issue
with the wrong javascript code 'listening' to the events, or just a
Firefox error? I've installed the 3.0.3 version of Firefox, along
with Firebug's latest (can't find a way to get the version number for
that).

Evidently the jQuery code I'm using has some bearing on this, as I've
not run into the drag problem up until now. This is the first time
I've had the two combined on a single project page.
