The file:

    www.polyarc.us/frameanimation.js

can be used to simplify frame animation.  It implements the GOverlay
interface described in the API documentation.  It can handle live
feeds from multiple sources.

If you decide to use tiles, be careful with mismatched time stamps.  A
partial refresh might result in adjacent tiles from different times of
observation.
