There is something "strange" with the GIF produced by that link.
If I include it on a simple HTML page the transparency is shown correctly as the areas around the pink circle. If I save it, and load it into Paint Shop Pro then it's reversed and it shows the pink circle as the transparent area. I'm wondering if it's because it only has two colours (1 bit colour)? Normally GIF's are 16 or 256 colours. Could this be the problem with Google Earth.
