You may be able to fake out your phone into thinking it is loading an
image.

Try something like:

<img src="maps.google.com/staticmap?realargs&bogusarg=bogusurl/
bogusjpg.jpg">

I use it to prevent Internet Explorer from displaying file names on
the status line.  IE parses backwards to the last slash to decide what
to display.  Your phone may do the same thing.
