Why do Google maps, when printed via a browser's File -> Print menu, strip the Google logo and copyright notices from the printout? Is this a bug or a feature? I can't fathom why Google would not want these notices to appear in printouts.
I posted a similar question in the Google Maps Troubleshooting group, but have had no replies. The behavior seems to affect Google Maps in general, including My Maps and Maplets. I now see from browsing many examples in the Google Maps API Demo Gallery that the same behavior occurs uniformly in maps produced by the API.
