Dear All, I wanted to let you all know about a new social fishing mapping website that I recently created called www.myfishmaps.com (www- myfishmaps-com). This site allows you to track all your catches on a map with exact GPS locations. The user can either enter the gps coordinates collected from a device or place a marker on a Google map to ID the catch location. The mapmarks can be saved either public or private. The site requires users to enter other data about the catch. The goal is to help fishing enthusiasts gather data about how fish migrate from season to season and year to year (also serves as a fishing diary).
The site also has all the other social aspects such as public and private groups to better communicate with people in your fishing area, or just a few friends. The site also has frequent fishing points for adding catches to the site or for inviting your friends (redeemable for fishing equipment); also periodic fishing contest with prizes (great for your customers).
