Thanks. This was my first thought too. But all the development is
going on without the obfuscation and it shows the same behavior
(otherwise I could not see bugs in Firebug). So that rules this out.

I also thought that Google might now check that its GMap2 class has no
extra attributes or methods, and might 'deactivate' itself in that
case.
In JS the only way of "inheritance" is to add new methods and
attributes to an existing class.
I will try if that is the case.
