i am trying to find some points (markers) in a rectangle given by longtitudes and latitudes. on my site you will be able to seek lost .. things previously added by users. i've installed postgis over my postgre. i read in some post that one needs convert the coordinates format. is it true? also, how can i construct a query that would look up points in some area? (given by latitudes and longtitudes)
