We are using Google Static Maps successfully pretty much everywhere on Earth except for Orange/France on the iPhone 3G. Strange thing, the same users report that it works fine on the same iPhones if they connect via WiFi. Is this a matter of Orange using a proxy so it appears that a handful of users (IP addresses) are sending a bazillion requests? Or maybe they proxy all through 1 IP address!? Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas for a solution?
