Hi

I am a map maker, cartographer and GIS professional. I have been
toying with Javascript a bit as I want to learn how to use the Google
Map API on my site http://www.mapsandlocations.com

I have dabbled in VB, SQL, various data bases right from high end
Oracle to DbaseIV. How difficult or easy is it to get going with
Google maps on my website http://www.mapsandlocations.com, actually I
really do not have any clue on this API stuff.

During my college days, I was quite afraid of polynomial theorems and
here I went to the API leraning center on Google but got scared with
volumes of instructions. Is it really difficult to get it going? Any
simple way of implementing this. Please guide me.

As far as maps are concerned I know them backwards, the Lat Long,
datum, projection stuff I have been handling for more than a decade,
so no worries on that. I have also made a small KML file and posted it
to my website, which you can access by clicking the link
http://www.mapsandlocations.com/plan_devp.kmz.

I can easily create SQL queries too, I keep doing it for GIS work, but
I got to get this Javascript sorted out. So all you experts, many
thanks to you right away for having read my request and also for your
guidance.

Regards and best wishes to all of you.

Anu
