Surely the point of a maximised infoWindow is that rather by definition it's, well, maximised. If you don't actually want a maximised infoWindow, don't use that. Set the content of an infoWindow in a div of defined size (with scrollbars etc if you need them) and use that. If you want to enter it in the issue tracker, it can't be a bug because the API is behaving exactly as it should, so it must be an enhancement request.
