Extra Info.
The Map page ( http://www.eymet-immobilier.fr/google_map_fr.html )
works from my Mac at home.
It does not work from the web URL that key applies to =
http://www.eymet-immobilier.fr/
ie from http://www.eymet-immobilier.fr/google_map_fr.html

Error message = The Google Maps API key used on this web site was
registered for a different web site. You can generate a new key for
this web site at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/.

It was NOT registered for a different website.
We do have a successful Google map at http://www.eymet-immobilier.com
(the English language site).

Thanks for the ideas...
I use a Mac with MacOS10.5+
I browse using Safari 3.1.2 or Firefox 3.0.3
To edit the page I use PageSpinner or Freeway
I wish to copy / paste because the key is 86 characters and the
potential for error when typing is
high. With ALL other programs and files I copy / paste without a
problem.

Usage
I apply for a Google keyword, go to Google, enter website URL for the
maps, a key is produced.
I can see it, I can highlight it, but I cannot copy or paste it.

To which the answer has to be "how should we know?" I'm afraid.
Copying and pasting is not an API problem; it's an issue with the
browser/computer. This is the first time anyone has reported an issue
with selecting that text and copying it.

It's always worked for me. It's apparent that you're using a Mac, but
without knowing its OS and what browser/version you're using, it's not
going to be possible to offer any advice. Perhaps if you could tell us
what you're running and how you're attempting to do the copy/paste;
whether you can copy and paste into another application than the one
you're trying to; does copying actually change the clipboard, etc etc,
someone else who runs a Mac might be able to come up with a potential
solution.
