Please refer to this Google Maps API application to better understand the black layer problem described below:
http://www.firstauto.com/gcada/ PROBLEM: Using Internet Explorer 6.0, if you select a dealer from the 'Dealers:' pull-down menu, a black layer appears covering the most of the browser window - including the map. The dealer's InfoWindow does appear above the black layer. Closing the dealer's InfoWindow removes most of the black layer revealing the map underneath. Why is this black layer appearing? Note: Sometimes this black layer doesn't appear with an initial selection from the 'Dealers:' menu. However, subsequent selections always result in the black layer appearing. This black layer problem nevers appear when using Internet Explorer 7.0, FireFox 3.0 or Google Chrome. Any help or insight into fixing this problem with IE6 would be greatly appreciated.
